For Sale From Engholm
Not all our horses are advertised for sale, most likely this is because we are unable to make up our minds. We don't really like selling horses since we don't breed that many and we grow very attached to each and everyone of them. We do, however, have to sell a few still to limit the herd to an acceptable size, which is why some of our young, promising colts could be up for sale if we find suitable new owners for them. Bay colt by the magnificent World Champion Hnokki frá Fellskoti, a son of Hrynjandi frá Hrepphólum, one of our most favourite sires here at Engholm. This colt is very pretty and has a good head on him, very nice to handle. He has a great body and a beautiful neck, and he is also a super nice mover. He is out of our 1st prize mare Björk, at descendant of Ófeigur frá Flugumyri and a wonderful riding horse. The first offspring of Björks to be presented received a whooping 8.32 in total. RONJA FRA ENGHOLM - BLUP 108 - SOLD!
Ronja is black filly with a beautiful face and neck. She is smoothly gaited with an abundance of natural tölt but she also have a beautiful soft trot, a very good walk - she has even shown her pace. Ronja is sired by the very succesful competition horse Kyndill fra Tjenergården, who topped the Danish ranking list in five gaits during his very first season on the oval track. Ronja has a strong pedigree and is a big and healthy filly and is, reluctantly, offered for sale - see video HERE. |

Herborg is a big and expressive girl with a super friendly disposition and lots of power and energy in her strides. She is five gaited with lots of tölt and a clear-beated and high stepping trot. Herborg is sociable and level-headed like her dam. Her sire is the great stallion Álfasteinn frá Selfossi who has sired many promising offspring. Her dam is our beloved Hátíð whose first son, Hektor fra Engholm, received a first prize assessment in 2010. Herborg has been sold.

HNALLÞÓRA FRA ENGHOLM - BLUP 104 - SOLD!
This beautiful and gentle little mare is Hrafntinna's first offspring. HnallÞóra was started under saddle in 2008 and although she had only ever shown tölt up until then, she quickly started trotting and also developed a mean flying pace. HnallÞóra has strong, correct legs and a lovely neck. She just takes everything in her stride and is just not afraid of anything. As a riding horse she's fast, yet controllable, and readily gaits with clear beats. A delightful little girl.

Sólveig is an elegant and beautiful 5-gaited girl with an extra-ordinairy good pedigree. Her father, Viktor fra Diisa, just won the World Championships aged 5. Viktor's sire, Garri frá Reykjavík, won the WC himself in 2007 and now holds an Honorary Prize for offspring. Sólveig's aunt, Hrísla från Skáneyland, is also a World Champion (2007) while Sólveig's grand dam, Hrína-Vigdís fra Grandalen came 3rd in the 1991 WC and was awarded an Honorary Prize for offspring last year.

Emanon is the first daughter of Edda fra Engholm. Edda is by the talented Garri frá Reykjavík and out of the competition mare Langamma fra Birkholm who is by Darri frá Kampholti. The sire of Emanon is the stunning Skruður frá Litla-Landi, a bay tobiano stallion by the colorful Randvar frá Nýjabæ. Emanon is a 5-gaited filly with quite extra-ordinairy movements, clear beat and speed for such a little girl, she just did it effortlessly from day 1. Emanon was sold as a foal.

This pretty little girl is a wonderful dapple grey with a gentle disposition and really nice movements. We very reluctantly sold Óða to a loving new home last year and we sure miss her around here. Óða is friendly and open-minded, she takes to new situations calmly and handles pressure of any kind very well. She has a beautiful extended trot and is most likely 5 gaited as her parents. It seems she will become one of those 4 gaited horses who will also pace. Not bad. |

Gorgeous and surprisingly humourous black colt born here in 2006 out of our old brood mare Langamma fra Birkholm, who we no longer own. Kafteinn is by the famous stallion Gustur frá Grund who has received quite a high judgement and has some extremely successful offsprings.

KANILL FRA ENGHOLM - SOLD!
Gorgeous bay colt with a true abundance of natural tölt. Kanill (the name means "cinnamon") has a wonderful deep bay color with lots of mane and tail. He has an impressively long and slim neck and a nice body. Kanill was sold as a foal but we often receive updates and pictures from his new owner and he seems to be growing up nicely.

BLÓMI FRA ENGHOLM - SOLD!
Blómi, a pretty chestnut with a star and a white nose, was sold as a foal along with his dam. Blómi was extremely easy to halter train and groom from the very beginning. He's overall very good looking, has nice movements, and is quite charming, really. A colt we wish we hadn't sold but he now has a really good home with a young girl who always liked his sire a lot.

TYRA FRA EGEMOSEGAARD - SOLD!
The first horse we ever bred, daughter of our precious Vina fra Bjørnstrupgård, who carried us where ever we wanted to go as children - and with good speed too. Vina was a delightful little mare, always happy and impossible to tire out. Týra's sire was the best stallion available in the country at the time. Týra was started and rode well displaying good talent but sadly was injured in a fight with her paddock mate and could no longer be ridden. But she has thrown some truely wonderful offsprings ever since.

TROSTAN FRA ENGHOLM - SOLD!
Trostan, a chestnut with a star, was always a remarkable foal. He came out extremely expressive and impressive and stayed that way for as long as we owned him. Trostan was sold from our farm as a foal and to this day he is the most vivacious and energetic foal we have bred.

FJÓLA - SOLD!
Fjóla was named after the toy we loved the most as little children. She is under the most successful competition at the time. Týra's first offspring, Fjóla, turned out to be a wonderful pleasure horse. She was started under saddle here; bitless, and her new owner has continued to ride and enjoy Fjóla bitless on soft forest paths. We couldn't be happier for them.
